Ayushmann Khurrana attempted an action film for the first time, titled An Action Hero. He is seen clashing with another talented actor, Jaideep Ahlawat in the film. After releasing in theaters in December, the film is now releasing on OTT. Jambaaz Hindustan is a new series by Shreejit Mukherjee, which has patriotic themes and is releasing on Republic Day. The series revolves around two female characters, played by Regina Cassandra and Meeta Vashisht, fighting terrorism to protect the country.

An Action Hero (Netflix)
N Action Hero starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat is streaming on Netflix from Friday. Directed by debutant Anirudh Iyer, the action-comedy thriller opened to rich reviews when it released on December 2, but failed at the box office. The story revolves around superstar Manav (Khurrana), who accidentally kills the brother of Bhura (Ahlawat), a municipal councilor in Haryana. Thus begins the cat-and-mouse chase between the human and the brownie, and the latter hell bent on avenging his brother’s killer. He follows her to London, and a number of comical but action scenes follow. An Action Hero has garnered accolades mainly for its no-nonsense storyline with a focus on the two main characters.
Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke (ZEE5)
Directed by National Award-winning director Srijit Mukherjee, the show stars Sumeet Vyas, Barun Sobti, Chandan Roy, Meeta Vashisht, Deepika Amin and Sandeep Dhabale along with Regina Cassandra as a strong and dedicated IPS officer. A tribute to India’s IPS officers and their selfless work, Jambaaz Hindustani begins streaming on January 26 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
As seen in the trailer, the thriller series tells the story of Kavya Iyer, a courageous IPS officer who fights against militants and restores the common man’s faith in the law. Produced by Juggernaut Productions, the show is spread across 8 episodes and centers around real heroes in uniform who work tirelessly for the betterment of the nation. Inspired by true events, the show throws light on the complexities that officers face in carrying out their duties to the nation. In ‘Jambaz Hindustan Ke’, Kavya’s fight for the country has been shown.
Shotgun Wedding (Lionsgate Play)
Featuring Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel, Shotgun Wedding tells the story of a couple planning their wedding at a destination. Trying to make their wedding day the most important day, they are doing everything they can until they are held as hostages with their loved ones. The wedding has been hijacked by criminals, and suddenly everyone’s lives are in danger.
The bride and groom-to-be must work together to free their loved ones from their kidnappers. In the process of saving their families, the couple rediscover why they fell in love in the first place.
With a stellar star cast and amazing comedy chops, the film looks to be a journey of fun, wit and rib-tickling humor as the bride and groom try to save the day and their marriage.
You People (Netflix)
You People is a buddy comedy film directed by Kenya Barris, which he co-wrote with Jonah Hill. The film stars an ensemble cast that includes Eddie Murphy, Hill, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lauren London, Sam J, Molly Gordon, Mike Epps, Nia Long, Deon Cole, Rhea Perlman, and David Duchovny.
Jonah wants to marry Eddie’s daughter – they are of different races – they are skeptical about her marrying a white guy, and he tries to convince them. The film was released in select theaters on January 20, 2023 and is now released on Netflix.

Welcome to a world where everyone over the age of 18 develops a superpower. Everyone except 25-year-old Jane, who is still waiting for her power to manifest. Without power, Jane feels she is being left behind.
