After 1982, people had reduced the use of scooters. Rakesh started losing profit in business. Then he also started the work of spare parts.

When some money started coming in, Rakesh also opened an inverter battery shop named Guru Battery. This shop is now run by Rakesh’s brother Atul Rathore. The income earned from here is used to run the expenses of Atul’s house. Even after becoming an MLA, Rakesh visits the shop and meets people.

Specialized in making scooters, those who learned the work from them started calling him Guru.
When Rakesh started the work of scooter repairer, he was called Guru from whom he learned the work. After a time, he became so adept at making scooters that people in the automobile market started learning work from him.

He did not even know that Rakesh would become a minister one day while making scooters. However, his interest in politics has been there since the beginning.

BJP’s strategy that made Rakesh MLA
In the year 2017, UP assembly elections were elected as BJP MLA from Sitapur Sadar seat. His name was also Rakesh Rathore.

Both Rakesh Rathor used to be good friends at one time. Before 2018, the two were often seen together. But gradually their relationship started falling apart.

Before the 2022 elections, MLA Rakesh Rathore’s tussle with BJP also started. Several videos of him speaking against the party also went viral. From PM Modi to Yogi, everyone raised questions on the way they work. Later, he left the BJP shortly before the elections. Joined SP.

Now BJP was looking for a new face for the 2022 elections. In such a situation, the party played the card of a factor named Rakesh.

There was an election in Sitapur on 23 February. 22 days before that i.e. on 1st February, BJP made Rakesh Rathore Guru as its candidate. This was the first time that Rakesh was going to contest elections.

SP candidate Radheshyam said, “Rakesh’s security will be forfeited in this election”.
Rakesh had only 22 days to campaign for the election. During this, he also had to face the displeasure of the party workers. The extent was reached when a BJP leader independently stood against him.

At the same time, SP candidate Radheshyam Jaiswal had said that Rakesh will not get any benefit in his name. On the contrary, people will not vote for him because he does not want to vote for Rakesh, who was the first MLA. He said that if Rakesh Rathore Guru continues to contest the election this time, his bail will be forfeited.
