Trinamool Congress MLA Humayun Kabir on Sunday courted controversy after he allegedly asked an officer-in-charge of a police station to stop working as an agent of opposition parties or be ready for transfer. Kabir, the TMC MLA from Bharatpur in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district, was heard commenting in a purported video that has gone viral on social media.

In this, he is shown addressing people during a meeting of party workers. “Tarzan (a local party worker) was called by the OC (Bharatpur). I’ve told Tarzan, the OC will either stop acting as an agent (of the opposition) or be ready for transfer in 48 hours. He said, ‘If necessary, I will go to the police station and sit in front of the OC and put my feet on his table. You (OC) will automatically realize what I am made of,” Kabir said in the video, whose veracity.
