Boulders rolled down blocking the Manali-Leh highway in Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul-Spiti district.
A state disaster management official said the Manali-Leh highway in Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul-Spiti district was blocked on Sunday after it fell from a mountain.
State Disaster Management Director Sudesh Kumar Mokhta said that as per information received from Lahaul-Spiti District Emergency Operation Center (DEOC), boulders came down near Killing Sarai in Lahaul Valley, blocking Manali-Leh National Highway-3.
He said that the district administration has deployed a team of Border Roads Organization (BRO) to clear the road and the operation is likely to be completed by evening.
