Cooperative Public Reading Room and Library Neemuch had written a letter to Neemuch City Police Station in-charge on 26 February 2022. The copy of which was also sent to the Collector and the SP. In the letter, the president of the institution, Parasmal Patwa, had said that some anti-social elements put up green flags in the boundary of the reading room regarding the plan to expand the nearby dargah. As soon as the information was received, the police force also reached the spot. SP Suraj Verma said that on the information, the police reached along with the force. Police used tear gas shells to bring the situation under control. Sticks were also used to disperse the crowd. The police closed the shops. Sent all the shopkeepers home. There has been an undeclared curfew-like situation here. At present the situation is under control.
