Uneasiness in Punjab after announcement in Uttarakhand
Along with Punjab, assembly elections are also due in Uttarakhand next year. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal went to Uttarakhand and declared Ajay Kothiyal as the chief ministerial face. However, in Punjab there is a continuous delay. Despite the AAP wave in the last election, the party fell short of the majority. Then it was being said that the party did not make any Sikh face CM candidate, due to which people made the issue of Punjabi vs outsider. Rumors were spread that if Aam Aadmi Party wins, then Kejriwal himself, his wife or some outside leader can become CM from the party in Punjab. Because of this the Punjabis withdrew support and the party could not come to power.

Everyone had demanded in the meeting with Kejriwal
In the first week of August, a meeting of all MPs, MLAs and senior leaders of Punjab was held with Kejriwal in Delhi. In which everyone had insisted that the CM face should be declared in Punjab as soon as possible. A whole month is going to pass for this meeting too, but it could not happen. In such a situation, now there is restlessness among the Aam Aadmi Party workers of Punjab.

CM face will be from Sikh society, screw on announcement
Kejriwal had come to Chandigarh last month and said that this time the CM face will be declared in Punjab and he will be from the Sikh community. However, the screw is stuck in Punjab only because of his announcement. Many Sikh faces including Bhagwant Mann and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Harpal Cheema are waiting for the party’s decision. Despite this, there is no movement from the side of the party.
