Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin arrived on Thursday narikuravas NS puncheri Mamallapuram village with a bundle of welfare measures worth Rs 4.53 crore as Diwali gift.

The CM distributed house leases worth Rs 3.52 crore to 81 people during a program organized in the village. He also gave community (ST) certificates to 88 people (ST), Narikurvāya Kalyan and ST board membership cards and loans to the beneficiaries.
Thanking the Chief Minister for fulfilling the long pending demands, Ashwini and her neighbors invited the CM to their home in the village. Accepting their invitation, the Chief Minister visited their homes and interacted with their family members. To make the moment memorable, the beneficiaries also took selfies with the CM. Later, the CM received petitions from the people of the community.

The CM also issued orders to start development works worth Rs 75 lakh under Kalaignar Urban Development Scheme. He instructed the officers to make Anganwadi center and additional class room in the primary school of the Panchayat Union. Anganwadi and additional class rooms will be constructed under the Corporate Social Responsibility Program with a financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh from Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS) to facilitate Narikuruva children to continue their studies.
Narikurva expressed his gratitude to the government for helping him with financial assistance to meet their long pending demands and improve their livelihood. The CM has also assured the people of Narikuruva and Irula community that the government will take all necessary measures to improve their living conditions socially and economically.
Before the Chief Minister’s visit, the government machinery swung into action and installed water tanks and street lights. “Five street lights and water tanks were installed on Wednesday. We have to go in search of water and now walk in the dark. There is no more fear about staying here,” said Kirtiga, one of the beneficiaries and Ashwini’s sister.
