SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ dubbing in full swing; Film to premiere in multiple languages

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s period action film ‘RRR’ is in the post-production stage. South superstars Jr NTR and Ram Charan have reportedly completed dubbing for the film in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi versions. The film is set to hit the silver screens on January 7, 2022 in multiple languages ​​including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and English. The film is based on a fictional story based on the lives of freedom fighters in the early 20th century and stars Ram Charan Alluri as Sitarama Raju. Jr NTR Komaram will be seen in the role of Bheem.

The dialogues of both the actors for the Malayalam version are yet to be dubbed. Reports say that the dubbing artist will be dubbing the Malayalam version.

The post production of the film is in full swing. According to a report in Tollywood.net, the film will be ready by the end of this year. The graphics and VFX work will go on for a few more months.

RRR is produced by DVV Danayya. The film is reportedly made on a massive budget of over Rs 450 crore. Theatrical distribution rights have been given to Pen Studios throughout North India. It has also purchased worldwide electronic rights to all languages.

RRR also stars Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in pivotal roles. Interestingly, RRR is gearing up for a box office clash with Alia Bhatt starrer Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, which will hit the theaters on January 6.

The release date of RRR was postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier, the makers of the film had announced that Netflix and ZEE5 have acquired the streaming rights.

Post theatrical release, SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR will be available in multiple languages ​​on these platforms. The Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada versions of the film will be streaming on ZEE5, while the Hindi, Korean, Portuguese, Turkish and Spanish versions of RRR will stream on Netflix.
