SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) has launched a two year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) online program on Coursera. The program is specifically designed for professionals who wish to receive formal management education while maintaining their jobs and living in their current locations.

The program runs over two years, with functional and general management courses in the first year. In the second year, students can choose from six industry-oriented micro-specialisations. With a total of 80 credits which is equivalent to 2400 hours of engagement, the degree is delivered in a blended mode, providing both synchronous and asynchronous learning options.

Under the mentorship program, learners will get an opportunity to experience regular interactions with entrepreneurs and industry leaders. Coworking will be designed to help build competencies such as problem solving, leadership and communication, accountability and social sensitivity.

Teaching Learning includes live sessions by SPJIMR’s core faculty and visiting faculty, pre-recorded videos explaining fundamentals, case analysis and discussion, peer learning through simulations, tutorials and group work sessions. The program also includes three campus immersions of five days each.

Dr. Varun Nagaraj, Dean, SPJIMR, said, “At the core of Online PGDM is the belief that education should adapt to the needs of the learners and not the other way around. Because of the flexibility of online learning, we enable participants to pursue higher education on their own terms, fitting their studies around their busy lives. Our courses are designed to be accessible, convenient and above all, responsive to the needs of the participants.”

Raghav Gupta, Managing Director, India and APAC, Coursera said, “By partnering with leading Indian universities, we are opening the doors to our global learners to high-quality, flexible and affordable degrees, enabling them to advance their academic and career goals. Helping to achieve goals.” As the world becomes increasingly interconnected and digital, online education has become an important component of lifelong learning.
