SpiceJet flight to Dubai diverted to Goa due to health emergency

According to the airline, SpiceJet’s Dubai flight from Madurai, carrying over 130 passengers and three infants, was diverted at the Goa airport due to a medical emergency, but the flight returned to its destination after the unwell customer disembarked. continued for. A SpiceJet spokesperson said, “SpiceJet flight SG 23 from Madurai to Dubai on June 20 was diverted to Goa due to a medical emergency. At Goa airport, the passenger concerned was de-boarded and the flight was diverted to Dubai. left for where she landed.” said in a statement.

SpiceJet said, the aircraft took off from Goa at 12.40 pm and landed in Dubai at 3.56 pm (IST). There were 132 passengers and three infants on board, the airline said, adding that one passenger landed at the Goa airport.

SpiceJet has been involved in several incidents of diversion or emergency landing in the recent past, but for reasons different from this case. A few days back, a SpiceJet flight bound for Jabalpur had to return to Delhi from where it had taken off as the cabin pressure of the aircraft had gone down.

Earlier, another SpiceJet flight had to make an emergency landing at Patna airport as the engine caught fire in the middle of the flight. According to reports, the fire in the engine started due to the collision of the bird.
