I was on duty in Godhra at the time of bomb blast
According to Asari, on July 26, 2008, when the serial bomb blasts took place in Ahmedabad, I was on duty in Godhra. I got a call asking you to report to Ahmedabad Crime Branch immediately. Next day on 27th I was present in Ahmedabad Crime Branch. This terrorist attack was being discussed all over the state. Our investigative team was given the task to find out who is behind this attack and bring them to justice.

Bomb making link found in Danilimda building
My senior officer Abhay Chudasama entrusted me with the task of finding out where the terrorists had prepared the material used in the blasts and where the bombs were made. Also asked to collect all its evidence. In the meantime several officers joined my team and we were slowly trying to find out where the RDX (Plastic Explosive) storage area and suspicious material associated with it could be found. During this, I got a link, which showed that terrorists had planted a bomb in a house in Danilimda area, I informed my officer and we reached there. The TIPS we received at that time provided solid evidence of terrorist activity.

Did not go home for four months, used to work day and night
There was pressure on the team to open the entire case as soon as possible. Due to this we worked day and night for four months. The condition was such that we used to eat food at nine in the morning and then used to spend the whole day and night like this. We didn’t even go home for four months.

Terrorists brought from Karnataka thousands of kilometers away without stopping
We traced the terrorists involved in the blasts hiding across the country and brought them to the Ahmedabad Crime Branch. We reached Karnataka to pick up an accused. We were told that Indian Mujahideen terrorists may attack you while transporting the accused. You do not even have to stop the vehicle for drinking water, we did the same, after leaving Karnataka, the vehicle came 1163 km away and stopped at Ahmedabad itself. Similarly, we brought terrorists from Ujjain also.
