In an exclusive interview to News18 India’s Vivek Gupta, Shinde said that he and the other rebel MLAs were “following Bal Thackeray’s Hindutva line and will his agenda move forward”.

Rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, who shook the foundation of the Maharashtra government, reiterated on Wednesday that he has no plans to break ties with the party and will always remain “Balasaheb Thackeray’s Shiv Sainiks”.

In an exclusive interview to News18 India’s Vivek Gupta, Shinde said that he and the other rebel MLAs were “following Bal Thackeray’s Hindutva line and will his agenda move forward”.

Refusing to divulge details of his future plans, Shinde – who now claims the support of more than 40 MLAs – said he would talk at an appropriate time but ruled out any discussion of forming a new party.

The senior leader also rubbished the allegations of being sidelined and ignored but admitted that Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has not contacted him yet. “I haven’t had any talks with Uddhav Thackeray,” Shinde said. Shinde said he would reveal his plans to the media when he decides on the future course of action.
