The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may have been the strongest player in the digital space ahead of the assembly elections, but its door-to-door campaign to woo voters in the state has not been less.

Sources suggest that the BJP will distribute a booklet titled ‘Uttar Pradesh, Kahani Badal Ki’, which will mainly focus on the achievements of the Yogi Adityanath and Narendra Modi governments as well as the misrule of the previous governments, especially the SP. The booklet is expected to be released soon by the top BJP leadership after which it will be distributed during the party’s door-to-door campaign.

The booklet, a copy of which was accessed by News18, contains a picture of PM Modi placing his hand on the shoulder of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, which was clicked during the Prime Minister’s visit to Lucknow. The picture had become the talk of the town, with political experts decoding it as an endorsement of Adityanath by PM Modi ahead of the 2022 elections.

This 180-page booklet has 17 chapters by some of the prominent names in bureaucracy, journalism and other fields, focusing on various aspects of development in Uttar Pradesh.

The first chapter of the book by author Shantanu Gupta talks about the developments in the state including expressways, airports and new cities. The second chapter of KV Raju, the financial advisor to the CM, talks about the economic development of the state, while the third chapter of Hitesh Shankar, editor of the RSS-affiliated magazine Panchjanya, talks about time-bound projects to accelerate the development of the state.

The fourth chapter, written by former state DGP Vikram Singh, focuses on the law and order situation along with an impartial approach by the administration. The fifth chapter is also by former top police officer AK Jain, which tells how criminals were treated fairly. The sixth chapter of Swati Sharma talks about stringent laws against forced conversions and cow slaughter. The seventh chapter is written by the author Advaita Kala and tells about the new confidence of the women of the state due to the safe environment and the government’s efforts to prevent crime against women.

The eighth chapter, written by retired IPS and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Brijlal, talks about cracking down on corruption. The ninth is written by journalist KK Upadhyay about the development of villages that gave new wings to the farmers of the state. Syed Raza Hussain Rizvi has written the 10th chapter on good governance and development of the poor.

Chapter 11 is written by Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi and tells about the employment opportunities offered to the youth of the state. The twelfth chapter is written by Vinay Pathak, Vice Chancellor of Kanpur University about the development of education in the state, which eventually opened up new avenues for the youth. Journalist and former BJP MP Balbir Punj talks about collective effort to make UP the number one state in Chapter 13, while in Chapter 14, Journalist Kanchan Gupta talks about COVID-19 management in the state and the appreciation earned by the government. . The fifteenth chapter, written by journalist Ratan Mani Lal, describes how the efforts of the government brought global recognition to the artisans. The sixteenth chapter in the book is written by journalist Harshvardhan Tripathi and tells about the promotion of MSMEs by the government which created employment and helped small businesses to grow as well. The final and seventeenth chapter, written by Dalit BJP leader Kameshwar Chaupal, who laid the first brick as the foundation stone of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, talks about the development of religious tourism and pilgrimages in the state.
