special | Aparna should have stayed with SP, her departure will not affect us in UP elections: Shivpal Singh Yadav

“We have always been together but in the 2017 elections, there was some misunderstanding in the family. Like last time, I am fighting on the cycle symbol. My experience will help Akhilesh Yadav in these elections. My appeal to the people is that the alliance gets a big victory and in 2022, Akhilesh Yadav as the chief minister will form the government with absolute majority,” Shivpal Yadav told CNN-News18.

When asked if Aparna’s departure sends a wrong message, Shivpal said: “Aparna This should have been understood… He should have stayed with the family and the party. Pramod Gupta should also have shown more patience as he was part of the ideology of Samajwadi Party. He shouldn’t have gone either. Samajwadi Party is an old party which was founded and nurtured by Netaji Mulayam Singh Yadav. Akhilesh Yadav has formed an alliance in which we are. SP has an ideology and when we follow that ideology then that ideology will win. So these exits will have no effect,” said Shivpal Yadav.

Their plans have failed… Look at the inflation, corruption, unemployment – they have only looted and destroyed the country. People will teach them a lesson in 2022 elections.

Shivpal said that he was fighting on the symbol of cycle like last time, but his party will continue to be PSP. “We are fighting on the election symbol as it is our old symbol and our party was not given the key symbol – after two years, it should have been given to us,” Shivpal said.
