Korean star Song Joong-ki on Monday announced his marriage to British non-celebrity Katy Louise Saunders, who is expecting their first child. The actor, who is known for K-dramas like Surya and Vincenzo, reportedly informed his fan club Isle of the news in a letter posted on his online fan cafe. With Katy Louise Saunders, who has been by my side encouraging me and with whom I have spent precious time loving each other, I have vowed to continue our lives together.
Song has been married twice, first to his co-star in the Korean film “Descendants of the Sun”, Song Hye-kyo. They married in 2017 and got divorced in 2019.

Born to a British father and a Colombian mother, Katie Louise Saunders, who is married to Song Joong Ki, reportedly spent her early years in London, England and Italy. His acting career began with the film “Love’s Journey” in 2002 and it continued with “CCTV: Secret Gaze” in 2019, but he did not participate in any other film afterwards.

We naturally dreamed of creating a happy family together. We’ve put in a lot of effort to keep our promises to each other, and we’re sincerely grateful that a new life has come to us. And today, based on our deep trust and love for each other, we are on our way from registering our marriage to starting life as a married couple. In the middle of next month, Song Joong Ki will fly to Hungary to start filming “Ro Ji Wan”. The Netflix original film ‘Ro Ji Wan’ is the film adaptation of Hejin Jo’s novel ‘Ro Ji Wan’. The film’s protagonist, Song Joong Ki, turns up as a North Korean defector. Last year, Song Jung Ki announced his participation in the film and began preparing for the shoot. As a result, he intends to leave next month and continue filming for another two to three months. Song Joong Ki was last seen in the K-drama Reborn Rich.
