South Africa complete 3-0 win over Sri Lanka in T20I series

Openers Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendrix scored unbeaten half-centuries to guide South Africa to a 10-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the 3-0 Twenty20 series in the third and final match on Tuesday. Batting first after winning the toss, Sri Lanka scored 120 for eight in 20 overs.

Opener Kusal Perera top-scored for the home team with 39 runs while Chamika Karunaratne’s 24 not out at No. 9 gave Sri Lanka a modest score. Spinner Bjorn Fortuyn had the best bowling figures with 2-21, while paceman Kagiso Rabada was 2-23.

South Africa were completely in control in their chase, denying Sri Lanka any chance of a breakthrough and reaching their target with 32 balls to spare. De Kock completed his second consecutive unbeaten half-century, which included seven fours off 46 balls in 59 balls. After this, after scoring an unbeaten 58 in the second match, South Africa won by nine wickets on Sunday.

De Kock was adjudged Player of the Match and Series for his total of 153 runs. Hendrix hit a six and five fours in an unbeaten 56 off 42 balls.
