Sooryavanshi box office collection: Akshay Kumar’s film performed well in first week

MumbaiBollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has left the cash register in shambles after the release of ‘Sooryavanshi’. The action drama co-starring Katrina Kaif has turned out to be the perfect Diwali gift for the film industry, which was badly hit by the COVID-19 crisis. Khiladi Kumar’s magic has worked wonders for ‘Sooryavanshi’ as the film has crossed the Rs 120 crore mark in the first week.

‘Sooryavanshi’ earned Rs 8.30 crore on Thursday (November 11), taking the total to Rs 120.66 crore. Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh ​​shared the first week box office collection of the film on social media.

Adarsh ​​said that Rohit Shetty’s film has ended the drought at the box office. Going by the buzz around the film, trade pundits were expecting ‘Sooryavanshi’ to set the box office on fire. The much-awaited flick has performed as expected in key markets like Maharashtra, Gujarat and Delhi.

Rohit Shetty is one of the few directors who have delivered one hit film after another. His last few releases including ‘Simmba’, ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Golmaal Again’ and ‘Dilwale’ had crossed the Rs 100 crore mark.

Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn’s special appearance received praise from the audience. Ranveer and Ajay reprise their respective roles of Simmba and Singham in ‘Sooryavanshi’.
