After Jiah’s bail, Jiah’s mother moved the Bombay High Court seeking transfer of the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The central probe agency filed a charge sheet in December 2015 in which they accused Sooraj of abetment to suicide under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code.
