The Sonu Nigam selfie incident has sent shockwaves across the entertainment industry. A famous playback singer was allegedly manhandled for taking a selfie during an event in Mumbai. Sonu Nigam and two of his companions were allegedly pushed by an MLA’s son during an altercation over taking a selfie with the singer during a concert in suburban Chembur on Monday night. Now, singer Mika Singh has come out in support of the singer.
Mika shared a picture with Sonu on his Instagram account and penned a note addressing the unfortunate incident. He wrote, “It is very sad and shocking that respected singer @sonunigamofficial has been attacked, that too in Mumbai. I always have at least 10 bodyguards with me whenever I am performing shows in the northern part of India , but I don’t have it in Mumbai.” I don’t have bodyguards because this is the most beautiful and safest city in India. Meanwhile, after the incident, Sonu Nigam filed a complaint, on the basis of which the Chembur police booked Swapnil Faterpekar, son of local Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Faterpekar, under Indian Penal Code sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongfully hurt) registered an FIR. restraint), and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others).
