Sonam Kapoor wrote a touching birthday message for her son, Vayu, and shared how much happiness the little one has brought into their lives.
Sonam Kapoor celebrates her son Vayu’s second birthday with a sweet Instagram post. The actress married her long time partner Anand Ahuja and welcomed their son in August 2022. Now, she has shared an adorable video of her little one dressed in a stylish white shirt, beige pants and black shoes. In the clip, Vayu can be seen running, calling his mother and waving at her in excitement, while flaunting his adorable outfit and proving he’s already a cute fashion star. Along with the video, Sonam wrote a lengthy and touching birthday message, sharing how much happiness and light Vayu has brought into their lives. She also highlighted how his positive energy and cheerful presence have brought their family closer together.
Sonam wrote, “My baby turns two today. Happy 2nd Birthday to our sweet, precious Vayu. Being your mom is the greatest gift I could ever receive. You’ve filled our lives with so much joy, laughter and wonder. Every day with you is an adventure filled with your boundless curiosity, your infectious laughter, and your sweet, loving nature. You’ve brought so much light and happiness into our world, making every moment more beautiful and every relationship stronger. You’ve deepened the love between your dadaa and me in ways we never imagined, and you’ve brought pure, unfiltered joy to everyone who loves you, your nani and nana, dadi and baba, kaaa masa, Masi, Anki chachu and harsh mamu.”

As soon as Sonam Kapoor posted the video on Instagram, fans, family and friends from the industry, including Farah Khan, Huma Qureshi, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Sophie Choudry, Karisma Kapoor, Neha Dhupia and Bhumi Pednekar, among others, joined the celebration by flooding the comment section with birthday wishes. However, it was Anand Ahuja’s comment that grabbed the most attention. He wrote, “Mamaa and the wave. Adorable Simbu baby Vayuuu.”
According to a Hindustan Times report, Sonam Kapoor hosted a lavish birthday party for her son Vayu on August 19, just before his birthday on August 20. The celebration also included Raksha Bandhan gathering with the entire family. Sonam shared a series of nostalgic childhood photos with her siblings and wrote, “Happy rakhi to my crazies. Love you all. Don’t worry I’ve got your back.”
