Sonam Bajwa is one of the prominent names in Pollywood Industry. The sultry actress is currently gearing up for her next release ‘Godde Godde Cha’. In an exclusive interview with India TV, the actress revealed that she has faced discrimination in her own home because of her dark skin. Recently, many actresses of the Punjabi film industry have spoken openly about the misbehavior they are facing. A few days back everyone’s favorite Shehnaaz Gill told how she was ill-treated in the Punjabi film industry aka Pollywood and was not invited to the screening of her own film.

After this Sonam also revealed that she was dropped from the film without being informed. Sonam Bajwa told Siddharth Kannan that she too was sidelined in the industry but it didn’t matter to her as she had seen the worst in her childhood. The actress said she was discriminated against because of her dark skin and when she was a child, her relatives did not invite her to their homes. However, her success changed his behavior towards her.

Sonam further added, “All we can do is never become like him. So yes, people have sidelined me and that too at an age where you don’t understand why they are doing it.” ” Talking about the Punjabi industry, she elaborated, “I have also experienced that producers will remove me from a film and won’t even let me go, so I have gone through such times but it doesn’t affect me much. does.”

Meanwhile, ‘Godde Godde Cha’, releasing on May 26, is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora. The film is written by Jagdeep Sidhu, whose work is appreciated both in Bollywood and Pollywood. Additionally, it stars Tania, Sonam Bajwa, Geetaz Bindrakhia and Gurjaz in lead roles. It is a complete family entertainer talking about the patriarchal rule that women are not allowed to be a part of a ‘baraat’ in Punjab during the day time.

The film follows Sonam Bajwa’s mission at a time when women were not allowed to attend baraat ceremonies during Punjabi weddings due to male dominance. Despite the repression they face, the women in the film yearn to join the ceremony and plan to sneak in, defying the societal norms that restrict them.
