Jammu: A jawan was injured in an encounter between terrorists and a joint team of police and army in Thanamandi area of Rajouri district, reported critically.
Official sources said the encounter started in Kalas area of Thanamandi after a joint search team of Army and police established contact with the terrorists. He said that in the ensuing firing, a soldier was injured and was later taken to a hospital in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, the operation was going on till the writing of the news. It is reported that two terrorists have also been killed but official confirmation is awaited.
