The black money of IAS Pooja Singhal and the heat of mine lease is slowly coming on the Jharkhand government. With the increasing heat of May, the politics of Jharkhand is also boiling inside. Anytime after May 20, the decision of the Election Commission can come on the membership of CM Hemant Soren, then on May 17, the High Court can give its decision on the matter of investment in shell companies.

If the decision comes in favour, then all is well, but if both the decisions go in the opposition, then there may be a crisis on the government. Meanwhile, there is news that Soren is also discussing his option. Two names are coming in front of Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana and old leader Champai Soren.

The crisis facing the government
Jharkhand’s senior journalist Chandan Mishra says that earlier the things of corruption which were coming out in pieces are now increasing the trouble of CM Hemant Soren by taking a holistic form. If the allegations against the CM are proved in the Election Commission or the High Court, then the legislature of the CM is sure to be known. They say that in the present situation, the government will remain with the departure of one or two MLAs.

However, the biggest crisis before the government will be the face. There are serious allegations against almost all the members in the Soren family and the trial is going on. It will be difficult for CM Hemant Soren to trust anyone other than the family. Along with this, keeping the party united will also be a big challenge.

BJP would like to survive till Rajya Sabha elections
Chandan Mishra says that Congress will never want it to be out of the government. She may add some new conditions, but will never want to lose the pleasure of power. Meanwhile, BJP will not make any such haste which will affect the Rajya Sabha elections. Rajya Sabha elections are to be held on June 10 and BJP will not want to reduce its numbers there. Along with this, BJP will try to implement President’s rule in the state.

understand the legal side of the matter
On the other hand, former Advocate General of Jharkhand Ajit Kumar says that if we go to the objective meaning of Section 9 (A) of the Representation of People Act, then it is a serious matter. If the allegations are found to be true, the ECI can cancel the membership of CM Hemant Soren. In view of the seriousness of the matter, the ECI has also sent a notice to him. Now the further action will be decided on their answer only.

CBI may also enter in the whole case
Former Advocate General told that ED is claiming to get big information in Pooja Singhal case. If there is a need for inter-state investigation in the matter or if the allegations come to the fore against the higher officials of the state, then the High Court can also order a CBI inquiry into it. All this will decide on what kind of subject the ED has been able to collect and what it can present before the High Court on May 17.

Know how the biggest controversy of the government came to the fore
In fact, in February 2022, former Jharkhand CM Raghuvar Das had accused Hemant Soren of ‘misuse of office’ in a press conference to get approval for the lease of a stone quarry in his favor in Ranchi district. Regarding the documents of the Mining Department, Raghuvar Das has accused Hemant Soren of violating the sections of the Representation of Peoples Act.

Documents say mining leases were allotted in the name of CM
Documents filed on the portal of the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change show that Hemant Soren had applied for mining lease approval for 88 dismis in Anagada block of Ranchi district. The production in the mine was shown to be 6 thousand 171 tonnes per annum and the estimated cost of the project was stated to be Rs 26 lakh. It was told that the proposed plan is for 5 years and the estimated life of the mine was 5 years.

On May 28, the CM applied, by June 14, everything was finalized.
Documents related to the proceedings of Anagada block show that Soren’s application had reached the District Mining Officer (DMO) of Ranchi on 28 May 2021, seeking a lease. At the same time, on June 1, the DMO asked the circle officer of Anagada to investigate. The Gram Panchayat was convened on 7 June to agree on mining. On the same day, the Anagada Block Development Officer informed the DMO in writing that the Gram Sabha had given consent for the mining lease and within 15 days, on June 14, the agreement was signed between Soren and 9 people of the village.

What is the government’s side on the whole matter
The lease dispute has reached the High Court. An applicant named Shivshankar Sharma has filed a public interest litigation in the Jharkhand High Court in the case of allotment of mines. In response to this, Advocate General Rajeev Ranjan, during the hearing in the matter held on April 8, had said that the state had “committed a mistake” in granting permission for mining. He had pointed out that even though Soren had been involved in businesses while he was a minister, there was no statutory or constitutional violation. He had said that Soren had recused himself from it on 11.02.22 by surrendering the lease.

Shibu Soren lost the Tamad by-election in 2009 when he was the Chief Minister.
Hemant Soren’s father Shibu Soren lost the Tamad assembly by-election in 2009 as CM. Then JDU candidate Gopal Krishna Patar (aka Raja Peter) defeated him by a margin of over nine thousand votes. The JMM, Congress and RJD coalition government fell as soon as he was defeated. President’s rule was imposed in the state. This election result of Tamad is an unforgettable page in the political history of Jharkhand.
