In Himachal’s tribal district Lahaul-Spiti and Kullu, snowfall continues for two consecutive days. On Wednesday, tourists enjoyed the snowfall on the Mall Road in the tourist city of Manali along with the mountains. Tourists were waiting for snowfall here for several days. When it started snowing, they came out with umbrellas.

The entire area of ​​Lahaul-Spiti is covered with a layer of snow. Roads and walkways have been buried under the snow. Along with the movement of vehicles, the movement of people on foot has also stopped. The effect of snowfall is now visible on common life as well. All vehicular movement has been stopped in the valley. Due to heavy snowfall, life in the higher reaches of Manali is affected. On the other hand, when the snowflakes started falling on the Mall Road of Manali, there was a crowd of tourists. The silver of the snow has made the Mall Road the snow point of the tourists.

Snow up to 3 feet in Rohtang Pass

Half a foot of snow has accumulated in the tribal district headquarters Keylong. Apart from this, there are more than seven inches of snow in Tandi-Sangam, Goshal, Malang, Pattan Valley. Sissu, more than one foot in the South Portal of Atal Tunnel, one and a half feet in Koksar, three feet in Rohtang Pass, two and a half feet snow has fallen in Kunzum Pass and snowfall is continuing in the valley. While the tourists who reached here are enjoying the snowfall fiercely, the local people are also facing many problems due to bad weather.

Kullu peaks also covered with snow

Here, along with all the high peaks of Kullu district, snow has started falling on the Mall road of Manali. So far, one foot in Solangnala, half a foot in Palchan, 4 inches in Bahagag has snowed. Snowflakes started falling on Manali Mall Road in the afternoon. Half a foot of snowfall has happened in Bijli Mahadev too.

Roads closed for vehicles

On the other hand, in NH305 Aut-Luhri also, the snowfall continues for two days in Jalori pass. Here a layer of snow about one and a half feet has frozen. Snowfall continues in Jalori Pass as well as in the higher peaks of the valley along with Sojha, Bashleu Jot.

However, NH 305 has been closed for traffic since Tuesday due to snowfall. On Wednesday, Pini, Beasar and Jethani roads of Kullu also had to stop vehicular movement due to snowfall. Many link roads in Sainj and Banjar, Ani have also been closed for vehicles.
