After suffering a poor start to their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign, Sri Lanka will now be looking to bounce back when they face Bangladesh next. The Lankans last won the competition in 2014 and have failed to make it the finals ever since.
They began the ongoing campaign with a six-wicket loss to South Africa. It was South Africa’s Anrich Nortje took four wickets as Sri Lanka were skittled for 77.

Wanindu Hasaranga scalped two wickets to put up a spirited defense but Sri Lanka didn’t have enough runs on the board.
Meanwhile, this will be Bangladesh’s opening match of the competition. They had faced India in a warm-up fixture which they lost.
