Six national award-winning filmmakers are all set to come together to direct a series based on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). For this new series, which is in development, popular directors from the industry will be collaborating. The series has been titled One Nation or Ek Rashtra (in Hindi). Reportedly, One Nation is a series that will tell the 100-year history of the RSS. The six national award-winning directors, who will be coming together for this project, include Vivek Agnihotri, Priyadarshan, Dr Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, John Mathew Mathan, Manju Borah, and Sanjay Puran Singh.
As per reports, the series will be released in the form of an anthology and will have different stories by different directors, which will be based on RSS. Recently, the first look poster for the series was revealed by the film trade analyst and critic, Taran Adarsh. Earlier, in January this year, Vivek Agnihotri revealed that a film would be made on RSS. Later, it was also reported that Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will also be in the film. There has been no official confirmation regarding this news. So far, the release date has also not been confirmed by the makers.
RSS is an Indian right-wing Hindu nationalist volunteer paramilitary organisation. They aim to spread the ideology of Hinduism to strengthen the community. RSS promotes the ideal of upholding Indian culture and its civilisational values among the citizens of the country. It also aims to provide character training and instil discipline among the people. They have been active for almost 98 years in the country, and people of all age groups are a part of the organisation.
