Washington: American singer Ricky Martin has finally denied all false claims of allegations of sexual abuse with his nephew.
“Ricky Martin never had any sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew,” Deadline reports. On the grim allegations leveled by Ricky Martin’s nephew, the 50-year-old singer and songwriter claimed that his nephew was dealing with some serious mental health challenges.
Ricky Martin has, of course, not been involved in any sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew – and never will be,” Martin’s lawyer added in his statement.
On July 4, the Puerto Rican singer claimed on Twitter that the ban order was based entirely on false allegations and would respond through a judicial process.
According to Deadline, Martin has faced a temporary restraining order in the past weeks and more recently with further claims of violence and as a result of a seven-month intimate relationship with a 21-year-old nephew.
A hearing on the claims is set for July 21 in Puerto Rico. As Deadline reports, if domestic abuse with a relative is a felony charged with Martin, he could consider a sentence of about 50 years if convicted.
