Singer of viral song 'Kachha Badam' drives new vehicle into wall, injured: report

Viral song “Kachha Badam” singer Bhuban Badiyakar, injured after accident in hometown

Kolkata:

Bhuban Badyakar, Singer “Kacha Badam”He was injured in an accident that went viral on social media, following which he was admitted to a hospital in his native village in West Bengal’s Birbhum district, a close aide said today.

Mr Badyakar was trying to drive his new vehicle when he rammed it into a wall and hit his face on Monday afternoon, his friend told news agency PTI.

He said that the peanut seller turned internet sensation was discharged from the hospital after first aid.

The friend also told the Press Trust of India that Mr Badyakar, a resident of Kuraljuri village in Bengal’s Birbhum district, has stopped all his professional work this week due to the accident.

Mr Badyakar, who used to earn around Rs 300 a day selling peanuts before becoming famous for his song, had earlier told the media that he had no idea that his song would hit social media.

The song went viral when one of his clients shot a video of him slamming him “Kacha Badam” Hawking shared it on social media.

After the song went viral across the world, people on social media started asking if the singer was being paid for her song views. Mr Badyakar reportedly received Rs 3 lakh from the music label which had earlier remixed his original song.

Last week, he was roped in to campaign by a political party by singing their hit song. He also performed at a five star hotel in Kolkata.
