Here he had a meeting with Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. In a meeting that lasted for about one and a half hours, Sidhu handed over a letter containing 5 demands to Captain Amarinder Singh.
Sidhu demanded the government to take action against the culprits of sacrilege. Apart from this, there has also been a demand to cancel or review the power-purchase agreement of the government with private thermal plants. The issue of farmers was also discussed between Sidhu and Capt. Sidhu has called a session of the Legislative Assembly and demanded the repeal of the agricultural laws of the Center. so that it can be sent to the President.
At the same time, a demand has also been made to resolve the issue of teachers, doctors, sanitation workers, linemen protesting in Punjab. Sidhu has also demanded that along with ending drug addiction in Punjab, action should be taken against the big leaders and influential people associated with it. It is being told that all these issues are included in the 18-point formula given by the Congress High Command.
The bitterness between Sidhu-Captain is not over
After making Sidhu the chief of Punjab Congress, the displeasure of the Captain has not stopped yet. Captain one was already annoyed with Sidhu’s statements. Second, on the day of Sidhu’s coronation, he was ignored a lot. Sidhu touched the feet of former chief Rajinder Kaur Bhattal and Lal Singh on the stage, but did not even look at the captain.
Earlier, Sidhu had also reached the meeting called by the Captain, but there too nothing special happened between the two. The MLAs of the Sidhu camp are now constantly targeting the pro-Captain ministers.
