Sidhu will continue as Punjab Congress President: After meeting the party leaders in Delhi, he said – every decision of the high command is accepted; Sonia-Rahul and Priyanka are my leaders

Navjot Sidhu has received instructions from the Congress high command to work as Punjab Pradesh Congress President. Sidhu had reached the Congress headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday evening. Talking to the media while leaving the headquarters, Sidhu said that he has placed his priorities with respect to Punjab and State Congress before the party high command.

Sidhu said – He has full faith in Congress President, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. Whatever decision they take, it will be for the betterment of Congress and Punjab. He will follow their instructions.

While talking to the media, Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat informed that Navjot Sidhu clearly said that he accepts the decision of the Congress President. The instructions are clear that Sidhu should work as Punjab Congress President and prepare the organizational structure. Rawat said a formal announcement in this regard would be made tomorrow.

Entered Congress Headquarters as soon as he reached Delhi
Earlier, Navjot Sidhu reached the Congress headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday evening and went straight inside without talking to anyone. Sidhu had a meeting with Congress’ Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat and national general secretary KC Venugopal.

During this, apart from Sidhu’s displeasure with the Punjab government, the expansion of the organization in the state was discussed. After taking oath of the new cabinet in Punjab, now the full focus of the party high command is on the assembly elections to be held after 4 and a half months. Before the elections, Sidhu has been instructed to strengthen the organization.

At present, many MLAs and leaders of the state are in touch with former CM Captain Amarinder Singh. On Thursday itself, CM Channi also went to meet Amarinder. Spoke with Rawat and Venugopal Sidhu on how these people can be kept in the organization in such a situation.

Congress organization dissolved in Punjab from January 2020
The situation is bad in terms of the organization of the Congress in Punjab. In January 2020, the Congress High Command dissolved all units in Punjab. However, Sunil Jakhar was asked to continue holding the post of head. But in view of the discord within the Congress in Punjab, Jakhar was removed and Sidhu was made the head.

Sidhu took over as the Punjab Congress President in July. Talking about strengthening the organization, he had talked about setting up a bed in the Punjab Congress Bhawan itself, but after resigning last month, he did not go to the Congress Bhavan.

Instead of forming an organization, Sidhu kept clashing with the government
The Congress High Command formed a new government in Punjab, playing bets on Navjot Sidhu. But as soon as the new government came into existence, Sidhu started revolting. First there was a confrontation with Captain Amarinder Singh. After this, when Charanjit Channi became the CM, he opened a direct front regarding the appointment of DGP and Advocate General.

Even Sidhu resigned from the post of Punjab Congress President. Along with Sidhu, the newly appointed general secretary Yogendrapal Dhingra and cashier Gulzar Inder Chahal also resigned. In Punjab, there were now four working heads and one general secretary Pargat Singh left in the name of the organization. In these too, working chief Sangat Singh Giljian and Pargat have become ministers.

In the video, he was seen explaining to the government how to work. He was seen advising to earn money from sand and wine.

It is being said that Sidhu is the head of the organization and he should not interfere in the government. Despite this, he has been adamant on this and his video posted on social media was also a part of it.
