Punjab Director General of Police VK Bhavra on Sunday said that the murder of popular singer Sidhu Moose Wala seems to be the result of an enmity between a gang and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang was involved in it. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to probe the incident.
Inspector General of Police (IGP), Bathinda Range, Pradeep Yadav constituted a three-member SIT to ensure an effective and speedy investigation into the murder. The team consists of SP (Investigation) Mansa Dharamveer Singh, DSP (Investigation) Bathinda Vishwajit Singh and in-charge CIA Mansa Prithvipal Singh.
The DGP said the name of Moose Wala’s manager Shaganpreet had cropped up in the murder of young Akali leader Vicky Middukheda last year. Shagunpreet had fled to Australia. The top police officer said that the murder appears to have taken place in retaliation for the murder of Middukheda.
He said the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the incident, adding that one of the Canadian gang members had claimed responsibility for the murder. Goldie Brar, a Canadian, had claimed responsibility for Moose Wala’s murder, PTI quoted official sources as saying.

Satinder Singh aka Goldie Brar is believed to be close to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. A court in Punjab’s Faridkot district had last year issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Goldie Brar in connection with the murder of Youth Congress leader Gurlal Singh Pehalwan, who was shot 12 times by two unidentified assailants in Faridkot.
Brar claimed that he had killed Sidhu Moose Wala to avenge the death of young Akali leader Vicky Middukheda.
Middukheda was very close to Lawrence Bishnoi.
Brar also claimed that Moose Wala was behind the murder of his brother Gurlal Brar and alleged that the police did not take any action against Moose Wala. The London-based gangster further alleged that Moose Wala was involved in Ankit Bhadu’s encounter, according to one “Sidhu Moose Wala was working against us”. India Today’s report.
Brar’s alleged role in the double murder in Gurugram also came to the fore recently. On March 11, the Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested two sharpshooters of the Kala Jatheri-Lawrence Bishnoi-Naresh Sethi gang.
Delhi Police had said that the slain brothers Paramjeet and Surjeet were close associates of jailed gangster Kaushal and had a rivalry with Ajay Jailedar. The jailed had attacked with the help of Kala Jatheri-Lawrence Bishnoi-Naresh Sethi and Goldie Brar to establish dominance in the illegal liquor business. Hindustan Times report good.
