Siddharth Shukla’s body will remain in Cooper Hospital; Funeral likely to be held on Friday

The body of late Siddharth Shukla will be kept at Cooper Hospital after his postmortem and hence, his last rites are likely to take place tomorrow (September 3, 2021).

Mumbai Police has confirmed that the body of Siddharth Shukla will remain in the hospital on Thursday. The mortal remains of the late actor will be sent to his residence at around 9-10 am on Friday.

Shukla’s postmortem is underway at Cooper Hospital and is being recorded on video.

The former Bigg Boss winner died of a heart attack on Thursday. He was 40 years old.

The Indian showbiz industry woke up to the shocking news of actor Siddharth Shukla’s death on Thursday. Colleagues and friends expressed their grief on Twitter.

The actor died of a heart attack in the morning at the Cooper Hospital in Mumbai.

Siddhartha is survived by his mother and two sisters. A Cooper Hospital spokesperson said the actor was “brought dead” this morning.

Born on 12 December 1980 in Mumbai, Siddharth, who earned a degree in interior designing, chose to switch gears in the modeling field, where he finished runner-up in the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest in 2004.

The best phase of his career started in 2020 with the hit reality show ‘Bigg Boss 13’ which made him a fan like never before. His Angry Young Man avatar, his skirmishes with co-contestants including Asim Riaz, Rashami Desai and friendship with Shehnaaz Gill stole the limelight and won him the show.

After working in ‘Bigg Boss 13’, his career got a new boom. He then treated fans with his appearance in three music videos back to back: Darshan Rawal’s ‘Bhula Dega’ (March 2020), Neha Kakkar & Yasar Desai’s ‘Dil Ko Kar Aaya’ (July 2020) and Tony Kakkar of ‘Shona Shona’ (November 2020).

Shukla was known to stay fit and also won the reality show, ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7’. He also hosted ‘Savdhaan India’ and ‘India’s Got Talent’.
