Siddharth Shukla death: Erica Fernandes says she thought the news of actor’s demise was a ‘hoax’

The entire industry is in mourning over the untimely loss of actor Siddharth Shukla, who passed away on 02 September due to a heart attack. Like many who could not believe the news, TV star Erica Fernandes thought it was a hoax. Although Erica did not know Siddharth personally, she was shocked to learn about the incident. In the latest interview, Erica shared that she was on a shoot when the news broke, so the actor asked people on the sets to verify it. “Initially it was difficult to digest. My heart goes out to those who loved Siddhartha. May God give them enough strength to bear the loss,” she said.

Erica, who reprized her role as Dr Sonakshi in the third season of Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, recently wrapped up her shoot in Siliguri. Amidst her busy schedule, she went to Kolkata for an event and there is no doubt that the actress enjoys going back to her hometown. Speaking to Times of India about her shoot in Siliguri, Erica called it a “refreshing change” for the entire cast and crew. Referring to the lockdown, which locked everyone in their homes, she said that shooting in greenery and fresh air was a different experience for the team.
