Davangere (Karnataka), Sep 18 | BJP’s Karnataka state in-charge Arun Singh on Saturday termed opposition leader Siddaramaiah as anti-Hindu in Davangere. “Siddaramaiah is an anti-Hindu leader. Now they have started talking about temples.
Congress leaders used to talk only about mosques, now Siddaramaiah talks about temples. “When did he learn to speak about temples,” he asked. BJP is engaged in the work of building the temple. The party is also engaged in the work of saving temples. They (Congress) always talked about mosques, he said ironically.
The Congress had also questioned the Supreme Court’s decision on the Ram temple. He remarked that it was a hasty decision. They kept on working out the dates of adjournment one after the other. He said that it is because of the commitment of the party that Ram temple is being built in Ayodhya.
Karnataka BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel said there was nothing to learn from Siddaramaiah for a single mistake, while referring to the temple demolition in Mysore.
“Siddaramaiah is a man who tried to break the Veerashaiva-Lingayat community. They celebrated Tipu Jayanti (anniversaries), who destroyed temples,” he said. Siddaramaiah is an atheist. BJP is the party which gave maximum grant to temples. The temple has been vacated on the directions of the Supreme Court. The officers made a mistake. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has decided on this. Now temples will not have to be demolished further. He told that the decision will be taken in the meeting of the core committee.
