Leader of Opposition Shuvendu Adhikari wrote a letter to the Speaker against the other defecting MLAs so that they do not suffer further.
Bishnupur MLA Tanmay Ghosh has already left from Gerua constituency. Baghdad MLA Biswajit Das has also adopted the same path. This time Shuvendu Adhikari has written a letter to Principal Biman Banerjee requesting him to sack his MLA post. In the letter, Shuvendu wrote, ‘I am requesting the dismissal of Bishnupur MLA Tanmay Ghosh. That post should be sacked at the earliest.” The same letter has been presented in Biswajit’s case.
It is noteworthy that after the assembly elections, Mukul Roy, Tanmay Ghosh, Vishwajit Das, Soumen Roy left the BJP and joined the Trinamool Congress. In such a situation, Shuvendu Adhikari’s letter has added another dimension to the politics of the state.
