Shuvendu again wrote a letter to the Speaker, demanding the dismissal of the MLA’s post.

Since the election of Ekushi, BJP MLAs have not been able to stop the partition. The number of MLAs has already come down to 61 seats. This number may come down further due to the discord that started within the party. In other words, the MLA may fall in the bank. Mukul Roy has defeated BJP after returning to Trinamool Congress. The PAC has started from the post of Speaker and has occupied the post of MLA. BJP has not been able to do so yet. Leader of Opposition Shuvendu Adhikari wrote a letter to the Speaker against the other defecting MLAs so that they do not suffer further.

Bishnupur MLA Tanmay Ghosh has already left from Gerua constituency. Baghdad MLA Biswajit Das has also adopted the same path. This time Shuvendu Adhikari has written a letter to Principal Biman Banerjee requesting him to sack his MLA post. In the letter, Shuvendu wrote, ‘I am requesting the dismissal of Bishnupur MLA Tanmay Ghosh. That post should be sacked at the earliest.” The same letter has been presented in Biswajit’s case.

It is noteworthy that after the assembly elections, Mukul Roy, Tanmay Ghosh, Vishwajit Das, Soumen Roy left the BJP and joined the Trinamool Congress. Now many more people have started singing to the tune. As a result, it can happen at any moment. In such a situation, Shuvendu Adhikari’s letter has added another dimension to the politics of the state. It was made clear in the letter that the BJP will not leave him easily, even if he leaves the party.
