Shri Ramayana Yatra: First Bharat Gaurav train arrives in Nepal’s Janakpur

The inaugural Bharat Pride train, which connects Ramayana circuit sites in India and Nepal, reached Janakpur in Nepal carrying 500 Indian tourists. This 14-coach train left from Safdarjung railway station in Delhi and reached Janakpur Dham station on Tuesday. The Government of India started this initiative to connect all the major places associated with Lord Rama and Sita and to create a Ramayana circuit.

The train operating on the Ramayana Circuit will also cover the religious destination of Janakpur (Nepal) for the first time, in addition to other popular destinations such as Ayodhya, Nandigram, Sitamarhui, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Panchvati (Nasik), Hampi, Rameshwaram, and Bhadrachalam.

On Thursday, Madhesh Pradesh Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut, Madhesh Pradesh Industries, Tourism and Forests Minister Shatrughan Mahto, Janakpurdham Mayor Manoj Kumar Shah, Nepal Railway General Manager Niranjan Jha, Indian Embassy in Kathmandu Counselor Prasanna Srivastava welcomed. According to a press release from the Indian Embassy, ​​tourists will visit the Janaki temple, watch a cultural program at the Janaki temple complex and participate in the Ganga Aarti.

On June 24, he will travel to Janakpurdham by road before going to Sitamarhi for onward journey on the Ramayana circuit route by Bharat Gaurav train. The Indian Embassy said that this train is expected to give a further boost to tourism in India and Nepal.
