Shreyasi Singh Profile Shooting Paris Olympics 2024: Know your Olympian
Shreyasi Singh is part of the Indian contingent at the Paris Olympics. The 32-year-old will participate in the double trap event in Paris. Shreyasi made her mark on the international stage by securing a silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games followed by a gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. Shreyasi’s distinguished track record has positioned her as one of India’s top medal prospects for the Paris Olympics Shreyasi’s involvement in the shooting is deeply rooted in her family’s legacy. Her grandfather Kumar Surender Singh and her father Digvijay Singh both served as presidents of the National Rifle Association of India
Hailing from Gidhaur in the Jamui district of Bihar, Shreyasi has also made her mark in politics. In 2022, she was elected as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly on a Bhartiya Janata Party ticket. Her father is a former Union minister, and her mother, Putul Kumari, served as a Member of Parliament from Banka, Bihar.
Shreyasi Singh is an alumnus of the Hansraj College in Delhi. She completed her MBA from Manav Rachna International University, Faridabad.

Paris Olympics Qualification
Shreyasi Singh was named in the Indian shooting team for the Paris 2024 Olympics announced by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) earlier this year in June. Shreyasi will take part in the women’s trap event after NRAI’s request for a Paris 2024 quota swap was approved by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF). The decision for the women’s 10m air pistol quota for women’s trap comes after Manu Bhaker’s performance allowed another quota in the pistol for shotgun events at the Olympics.
Recent Performances
In one of her latest appearances, Shreyasi Singh took part in the ISSF Final Olympic Shotgun Qualification Championship held in Doha, Qatar earlier this year in April. But she had failed to reach the final of her event.
