After a false post claiming his death went viral, Shreyas Talpade quashed the rumours and strongly asked people to pause spreading the distressing rumour.
A post falsely claiming the death of actor Shreyas Talpade spread like wildfire, leaving his fans in shock. The misleading post was widely reshared on social media platforms. To set the record straight, the actor issued a statement and called out the trolls for spreading the distressing rumour.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Shreyas Talpade mentioned, “He is alive, happy, and healthy.” Thanking all his friends and well-wishers who checked on him after reading the fake news, he added, “While I understand that humour has its place, when it’s misused, it can cause real harm.”
“What may have started as a joke by someone, is now creating unnecessary worry and playing with the emotions of those who care about me, especially my family,” his note further read.
Shreyas Talpade, who suffered a heart attack last year, expressed concern that the false news has heightened his young daughter’s anxiety. He shared that she already worries about his well-being and this rumour has only intensified her fears. “This false news only deepens her fears, forcing her to confront more questions from her peers and teachers, stirring up emotions that we’ve been trying to manage as a family,” he said.
Finally, Shreyas Talpade urged people to stop spreading false information about his passing.“To the trolls, I have a simple request: please stop. Don’t joke around at the cost of others, and don’t do this to anyone else. I wouldn’t want anything like this to happen to you ever, so please be sensitive. Chasing engagement and likes should never come at the expense of other’s feelings,” he added.
In December 2023, Shreyas Talpade suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. Recalling the harrowing incident, the actor told a media outlet that he considers his recovery a “second chance at life.” He also admitted that his survival was “nothing short of a miracle.” Following Shreyas Talpade’s recovery, his wife Deepti thanked the doctors, fans, and well-wishers for their unwavering support during the challenging times.
