This is what the actor has to say:

“I feel great and happy to be back on TV as a subject and the role is good. The whole dynamic of the entertainment industry has changed over the years. It is no longer about the big screen or the small screen- -Now everything is on the screen of the phone. And the good thing is you just need to keep performing; if you’re good at it, people will love it, and if you’re not, they’ll keep you apart. So Now, with the advent of OTT platform these channels are also gearing up and trying to do something that has never been done before. So that was the thing that I liked and the response was overwhelming, So we kept working.” whispers

Ask him if returning to the small screen after doing films has ever worried him and the ‘Iqbal’ actor explains, “Most of the population doesn’t think so anymore. Hollywood It is a model; When a film actor does a show on TV, he doesn’t find it strange. In India itself, we tried to intellectualize things in the beginning. But there is no such criteria left these days, what with people having their own YouTube channel and being equally popular. I firmly believe that medium should not be a hindrance for an actor. He further explains that when Amitabh Bachan Came on TV during ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. “The popularity that TV once again gave him at that time was unprecedented”. And then we saw big actors coming on TV and doing fiction and non-fiction shows. So, when TV gives you the kind of reach, popularity, admiration and love that an actor needs, why should we stay away?” the actor wonders.

Recalling an incident during the filming of his first Bollywood film ‘Iqbal’, Shreyas said, “Before ‘Iqbal’ I was doing TV, so when the film was in post-production, I had to do some TV shows in Hindi. There were offers, and I remember checking with the team if I could take them, but they banned me, saying that if I do TV shows, why would people come to theaters with me? To watch. Today things have changed, people have moved on for the better. The kind of response I have got now for this show is outstanding and unbelievable.” He also stresses on the need to stay connected, “Audience is what keeps an actor alive. Hence, it is important to stay connected,” says Shreyas.

Apart from this TV show, Shreyas also has some projects this year. “I did a short film recently. I also did a film with Mahesh Manjrekar. I am directing a film soon, there are a few other projects, and of course, this show; this year is looking packed. So, I need to take care of my health to do so much work. I am also associated with Delphic Maharashtra, which for art and culture is what Olympic sport is. Honestly, I have no idea about it at first But when I was working on my OTT platform, I came to know this; I am really looking forward to it. With this, we will get to see talent from across the country and the world on that platform,” the actor revealed.

When asked about the much awaited project ‘Golmaal 5’, Shreyas says, “Our captain Rohit Shetty The right person would be to answer this question. Personally, I think, in fact, whenever we meet, we talk about ‘Golmaal’ and we all feel that maybe people would like a film like ‘Golmaal’ at such times, so that their To free the mind from stress and everything. This is happening. So, yes, the entire team would like to start working on ‘Golmaal 5’, but the final decision lies with Rohit. So, whenever he decides – depending on the scenario and when the theaters open – will he take the final decision. But yes, as a team we would love to work on ‘Golmaal 5’ at the earliest.”
