Shraddha Kapoor shared an emotional tribute for her late co-star, Sushant Singh Rajput, as their film, Chhichhore marked its 5th anniversary recently. However, did you know that Shraddha and Sushant were supposed to collaborate much earlier for the 2013 drama film, Kai Po Che!
In a recent interaction with Remo D’Souza, casting director Mukesh Chhabra revealed that Shraddha had auditioned for the film, but got rejected. He said, “She’s very hard-working. Her first audition for me was for Teen Patti. Then she did a couple of films which didn’t work and there was a downfall. She then auditioned for Kai Po Che! but that didn’t happen. She wasn’t selected…”

Years later, Shraddha and Sushant came together on screen for Chhichhore. Shraddha Kapoor posted a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram to commemorate the film’s seventh anniversary, giving fans a glimpse of the joyful moments from the set. The clip featured Shraddha sharing laughter with Sushant and the rest of the cast and celebrating with a cake-cutting ceremony. In her heartfelt caption, Shraddha wrote, “Woh din bhi kya din the (Those were the days),” reflecting on the unforgettable memories made during the film’s shoot.
Meanwhile, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 has become a juggernaut at the box office. Stree 2 recently became the biggest Bollywood hit of the year, bringing the film’s cast and crew joy. The film has already garnered Rs 520 crore nett and crossed Rs 750 crore globally. With Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency postponed, Stree 2 enjoys a clear run for another week, unaffected even by Tamil release Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT, which won’t get a wide Hindi release.
Stree 2 is part of the Maddock supernatural universe, which also includes films like Bhediya and Munjya. Varun Dhawan’s character from Bhediya made a cameo in Stree 2 and fans have been eager to know whether the makers will release Stree 3 or Bhediya 2 first. Both Bhediya and Stree 2 were helmed by Amar Kaushik and were hits.
