Virender Sehwag said that CSK have a weak bowling attack but they need to be precise with their lines and avoid wide balls.
Veteran India opener Virender Sehwag advised Chennai Super Kings spinners to be more disciplined with their line as they have been bowling too many wides and no-balls this season in the IPL. Chennai Super Kings have won three out of five matches so far but their bowling unit has been in question since the beginning. In the opening matches, to which captain did he bowl many no-balls M S Dhoni Heavy on the bowlers and the bowlers have learned from their mistake, however, they have failed to get their line rights and have been bowling wide in the last few matches.
Chennai are facing the crisis of several injuries in their camp – Deepak Chahar, Mukesh Chowdhary, Sisanda Magala, Ben Stokes and Simarjeet Singh. Mukesh has been ruled out of the tournament while others are still recovering.

Sehwag was not impressed with CSK’s giving the bowlers the extra, which also resulted in a slow over-rate. The former India opener suggested that he should keep this in mind for his skipper Dhoni, who could face a ban if he maintains a slow over-rate.
Dhoni did not look happy as he has said earlier that he wants the bowlers to reduce the number of no balls and wides. CSK had bowled extra two-three years and against RCB they bowled one more extra over. It should not go to the level where Dhoni is banned and CSK have to take the field without their captain,” Sehwag said on Cricbuzz.

Meanwhile, Dhoni has been playing this season with a knee injury and Sehwag wants the bowlers not to worry too much for their skipper.
“The kind of knee injury he has, it looks like he might play only a few matches anyway. He is constantly pushing himself but if his bowlers are bowling so many wides and no balls then Dhoni needs to rest.

He said, ‘It is very disappointing to see the spinners bowling wide. These things are under your control,” he said.
I have been saying from day one that CSK’s bowling is weak. He needs to work on that department. But what else can they do? Whatever resources they have, they will have to use it this season. Bowlers have to be more accurate. If we look at his performance against RCB, he has bowled 30-35 dot balls, so he did not allow RCB to score a single run in six overs. Despite that, he conceded 218 runs because he hit a lot of sixes and fours.”
