Shoojit Sircar and Ronnie Lahiri collaborate with Babil, Irrfan Khan’s ‘Carry forward the legacy’

After working with late actor Irrfan Khan in the 2015 film Piku, director Shoojit Sircar and producer Ronnie Lahiri are all set to collaborate with the legendary actor’s son Babil Khan. Lahiri confirmed the news on social media and shared a series of pictures, which show her engrossed in work.

Giving a glimpse of his project, he wrote a heartfelt post on Instagram, which read, “Honored Irrfan sir for taking your legacy forward. Worked with a legend like you and now Babil. If this isn’t Providence, what is?” While the exciting project is under wraps, further details will be unveiled soon.

Last year was not easy for Babil, who had a very close relationship with his father. His social media is full of posts from the late actor and he often shares anecdotes based on his life. A few days back, she had shared some pictures of him and accompanied it with an emotional caption which read, “I am working so hard man, wish you were a witness here.”

Meanwhile, Babil is all set to make his debut in Anushka Sharma’s upcoming production film Kaala. He has completed his first shooting schedule. The film also stars Bulbul actress Tripti Dimri.
