In the Beed district of Maharashtra, a heinous incident of raping a minor girl in the last six months has come to light. The victim minor is 16 years old and was married off in childhood. A policeman has also been found to have sexually abused this girl bride, who raped the girl when she came to file a complaint. Beed Superintendent of Police Raja Ramasamy on Sunday confirmed the heinous crime and said that three people have been arrested.
Teenager who is two months pregnant
According to the report of news agency ANI, SP Raja Ramasamy told that the victim girl is two months pregnant. He somehow came out of this trap of rape and gave information about the whole incident. Based on her complaint, a case has been registered under Child Marriage Act, Rape, Sexual Harassment and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. After this, three accused have been arrested. Other accused are also being investigated and they will be arrested soon.
Married 8 months ago, ran away from home to avoid being hit by husband
According to the SP, the victim’s mother had passed away about two years ago. Her father got her married about 8 months back. But her husband and in-laws used to beat her for not bringing dowry with her. She had run away from her in-laws’ house about six months ago to avoid being assaulted by her father.
Father did not allow to enter the house, begged at the bus stand
In the statement given to the Child Welfare Committee, the victim told that the father did not allow her to enter the house. After this she started begging at the bus stand at Ambajogai in Beed district. This is where her sexual abuse started. He told the committee that he was raped by more than 400 people. She went to Ambajogai police station several times with her complaint, but the police also did not register her complaint. On the contrary, a policeman also raped her.
