Shiv Sena’s Uday Samant joins Eknath Shinde’s rebel camp

Shiv Sena MLA Uday Samant Shinde joined the group and reached Guwahati on Sunday. Samant is the Minister of Higher and Technical Education in the Uddhav Thackeray-led government.

He was seen along with Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray for meetings held during the last few days. Samant is considered close to Aaditya Thackeray.

Various speculations were being made about Samant’s arrival in the hotel from Surat and his activities were being closely monitored.
