The Teh actress broke her silence on the matter by posting her statement on Twitter, asking everyone to respect the privacy of the family. He has refused to explain his stand on the matter. Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19 for allegedly making ‘obscene’ films.

Shilpa’s statement on Twitter read, “Yes! The last few days have been challenging on every front. There have been many rumors and allegations. A lot of unfair allegations were leveled against me by the media and (not so) well-wishers. Lots of trolling/questioning…not only me but also my family.

My stand… I haven’t commented yet and will continue to refrain from doing so on this matter as it is under consideration, so please stop giving false quotes on my part. As a celebrity, reiterating his philosophy of “never complain, never explain”. All I will say is that since this is an ongoing investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police and the Indian judiciary.”

Her statement continued, “As a family, we are resorting to all available legal remedies. But, until then, I humbly request you – especially as a mother – to protect our privacy for the sake of my children.” Respect and request you to refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying its veracity.

I am a proud law abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional since last 29 years. People have believed in me and I have never let anyone down. So, most importantly, I request you to respect my family and ‘my right’ to privacy during this time. We don’t deserve media trial. Please let the law take its course.

Satyameva Jayate! With positivity and gratitude, Shilpa Shetty Kundra.”
