Shilpa Shetty will not be served summons in Raj Kundra case, confirms Mumbai Police – Times of India

Shilpa Shetty and Raju against Some relief has been given in the ongoing investigation after Kundra’s arrest. A source close to Mumbai Police has revealed to ETimes that Shilpa will not be summoned in the Raj Kundra case as was being speculated in the past few days.

Speaking to ETimes on condition of anonymity, the source revealed, “Shilpa Shetty is one of the directors of the film. Viaan Industries while the police are investigating kenrin Only.” Kenrin is a UK-based company and owner of the HotShots app, where the alleged pornographic material was distributed.

Kenrin is owned by Kundra’s brother-in-law Pradeep Bakshi, who is a British citizen and is married to Kundra’s sister. He is the chairman of Kenrin, a company directly responsible for pornography related matters. In a recent press briefing Joint Commissioner of Police (crime) had said, “Though the company was registered in London, the content creation, operation of the app and accounting were done through Vian Industries of Kundra.”

Raj Kundra also known as Ripu Sudan Kundra was born and raised in London. He was arrested by the Mumbai Police on Monday for his alleged involvement in a case related to the production and distribution of pornographic material through a mobile-based app. His firm’s IT head Ryan Thorpe was also arrested in this case. He was produced in Mumbai’s Esplanade Court on Tuesday. Kundra is currently in police custody on July 23.
