Shilpa Shetty recently recreated the iconic helicopter scene from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (K3G), which starred Shah Rukh Khan. In the Instagram reel, which has been shot in slow motion, the actress is seen getting down from a helicopter as a man opens the door for her.
The actress has copied almost all elements of the scene, including Shah Rukh Khan’s black complexion. Just as ‘Rahul’ was happy to return home, similarly Shilpa also returned after a holiday in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
With one foot on the stand of the helicopter and one hand clutching the edge of the door, she jumps out, chasing the camera. The scene in question is where ‘Rahul’ returns home after completing his studies in K3G. The background music is the same segment of the title song sung by Lata Mangeshkar, which was used in the original scene.
Sharing the reel, Shilpa wrote in the caption, “That feeling of coming back home… Unmatched! We all have a little bit of K3G.” He ended the caption by tagging K3G director Karan Johar.

So far, Reel has been watched by about 10 lakh people and has collected more than one lakh likes. Karan Johar praised Shilpa’s upload by commenting on several clapping emojis. Fans and followers also gave strong reactions appreciating the video.
Earlier this month, K3G, a major commercial success that released in 2001, celebrated its 20th anniversary on 14 December, and was buzzing with Bollywood celebrations. Several celebrities paid tribute to the film’s legacy on social media and to be honest, they all PHAT! (beautiful, warm and charming).
