Shikaripura opposes BS Yediyurappa’s exit. Mysuru News – Times of India

Shivamogga/Mandya: Within minutes of Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa Announcement of his resignation on Monday, in commercial establishments Shivamogga of Shikaripura Bandh was organized in protest by closing the district.
The residents, angry with the BJP high command, raised slogans against party leaders, especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Though Yediyurappa had submitted his resignation on earlier occasions, this is the first time the residents have organized a bandh in protest.
Shikaripura has chosen Yeddyurappa seven times and this is his ‘karmabhoomi’.
Villagers in Bukanakere, the birthplace of Yeddyurappa in KR Pet taluk of Mandya district, were also disappointed. Villagers closed all temples in protest and vented their anger against BJP workers. He saw it as an injustice done to Yeddyurappa by his party colleagues.
Villagers said, ‘The party will pay a heavy price for this mistake. Yeddyurappa’s nephew Madhu said, “BJP leaders unnecessarily asked him to step down and we condemn it.

DH Subbana, elder brother of former MLA DH Sankaramurthy in Shivamogga, said he had brought Yeddyurappa to Shikaripura in his 60s from Bengaluru, where he was working. RSS.
