Fortunately, the child was saved by a group of shepherds, who took him to a nearby medical center. Doctors said that the child was underweight and had trouble breathing. He was given first aid and was referred to a hospital in Jodhpur.

According to the police, the incident took place in Bear Rajwa village where the girl’s family members buried her in such a way that her entire body was under sand below her neck. Hearing the cry of the child, the shepherds managed to save the child. He informed the Deputy Sarpanch of the village Mangalaram Vishnoi about the incident.

At present, the girl has been admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Jodhpur Hospital. Police are searching for the family of the child but so far no clue has been found.

Meanwhile, another tragic incident of suspected female feticide took place in a village near Usilampatti in Tamil Nadu. According to a report in Times of India, the baby girl was the third child of Sivapriyanka and her husband Chinnasamy. The girl was taken to the hospital when she could not wake up from sleep. The doctors declared him brought dead. The statements of both the parents have been recorded in this regard and the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Criminal Procedure Code. At present the police is investigating the matter. Apart from this, B Pandiaraja of Madurai District Child Welfare Committee is also investigating in this regard.
