Shehnaaz Gill’s father Sukh also reacted to the allegation by the Punjab police and questioned the timing of the accusations.
Actress Shehnaaz Gill’s father Santokh Singh Sukh has been accused by the Punjab police of “misusing” his security cover. Recently, Baba Bakala deputy superintendent of police Surinderpal Singh levelled the allegation against Shehnaaz’s father and shared that the security was provided after Sukh shared a video in which an unknown caller was heard threatening him.
What Did Baba Bakala DSP Said About Shehnaaz Gill’s Father?
“The video is two months old. Action will be taken against the accused. However, he (Sukh) is misusing the security cover given to him as he runs an organisation. He was instructed not to misuse the security cover, but he disregarded the directive,” Baba Bakala deputy superintendent of police Surinderpal Singh said and further claimed that at least six cases have been filed against Sukh. The DSP also added that the police are investigating threats given to Shehnaaz’s
father.
Shehnaaz Gill’s Father Calls Allegations Against Him Baseless
However, Shehnaaz’s father Sukh also reacted to the allegation by the Punjab police and questioned the timing of the accusations. “Why are the police making such accusations after two months? They are only making the accusations as I made the video public. The cops have not taken any action so far. Police are levelling such baseless allegations to hide their inaction,” he said as quoted by Hindustan Times.
“The police are also claiming that the phone call in the video is fake. On one hand, the police are saying that they are investigating the case, and on the other, they are passing a verdict. If this is a fake threat, why have they not registered an FIR against me?” he asked.

While Shehnaaz Gill’s father is in Punjab, the actress is in Mumbai gearing up for her next project Sab First Class along with Varun Sharma. Helmed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, the film will be an out-and-out family entertainer. On January 20 this year, Shehnaaz officially announced the film by sharing an Instagram post. “2024 begins @fukravarun @balwindersinghjanjua @muradkhetani @cine1studios @officialjiostudios @movietunnelproductions,” she wrote.
